Bootcamp Instructors

Douglas MacDougall has been actively involved in the biotechnology industry for over 17 years and is the President of MacDougall Biomedical Communications, Inc., which specializes in fulfilling the communications needs of small to medium sized private and public life science companies.  Doug has provided strategic communications counsel and developed corporate communications plans for over 120 clients in the life sciences space.  He speaks on topics related to investor and media relations and corporate positioning at industry conferences and facilitates offsite corporate strategy and corporate positioning meetings for over a dozen companies each year.  Doug assists many of his clients in fundraising activities and is a member of the MIT Venture Mentoring Service.  Some of Doug’s current clients include; Array BioPharma, Achillion, BIO Industry Organization, Cellerant, CombinatoRx, Cyberkinetics, DYAX, Elixir, EPIX Pharmaceuticals, Evotec OAI, NitroMed, The Medicines Company, Hematech, OXiGENE, IDUN and Dynogen.  Doug was most recently Chief Financial Officer of Cetek Corporation and prior to that, Senior Vice President at Feinstein Kean Healthcare (FKH) where he built innovative corporate communications and investor relations programs for its biotechnology clients over a six year period. Before joining FKH, Doug was CFO of publicly held Applied DNA Systems for a period of six years. Doug has a BS in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Workshop faculty members are carefully chosen from a stable of seasoned life science communications and business development experts from around the world. Participants are issued workbooks that contain the material presented in the sessions as well as additional supporting material.
