Corporate Mission

Copernicus Therapeutics, Inc. (CTI) is a biopharmaceutical company initially focused on the development of a therapeutic for the $2 billion Cystic Fibrosis (CF) market. In 2006 the company and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CF)announced that the CFF expects to fund all development activites through the completion of a multi-dose Phase II study. Copernicus believes its nucleic acid (NA) nanoparticle technology provides a highly effective and safe pulmonary NA delivery system, thus enabling the Company to develop novel treatments for lung diseases such as CF. CTI has also demonstrated remarkable preclinical results in deliverying siRNA to the lung, nucleic acid therapeutics to the retina, and nucleic acid therapeutics to the brain. The business strategy of the Company is to build value by focusing on its core gene transfer competencies, thus positioning CTI to become the preferred partner of companies holding rights to genomic information and therapeutic genes. Each product developed utilizes modular Copernicus platform technologies. This modular nature reduces the risk of development and permits Copernicus to perform the needed tasks faster, smarter, and for less cost.
