This Year's Highlights

• KemPharm has recently completedly studies on several compounds. In a well established rat model, that scales very well into humans, in vivo data suggest that KP106 has the potential to be a best-in-class ADHD drug therapy.
• Two patents have been filed (composition of matter & use) in the ADHD field. KemPharm can internally synthesis & screen analogues of KP106 to strengthen these patents. We are conducting IND enabling studies in parallel with these activities.
• KemPharm closed a $750,000 friends and family round in June 07. This cash allows for internal synthesis and in vivo animal screening (in well established models) of molecules in ADHD, pain, and cardiovascular for patent enabling or filing.

Anticipated Highlights

• KemPharm plans to start IND enabling preclinical studies for KP106 in the third quarter of 2007 with an anticipated finish date in the first quarter of 2008 for committing to pre-clinical GLP studies.
• We plan to file our Investigational New Drug (IND) application for KP106 in the second quarter of 2009 for ADHD.
• We plan to move one pain candidate into a solid pre-clinical lead in 4Q07. We plan to move one cardiovascular candidate into a solid pre-clinical lead in 1Q08.
